Daily Food Tracker

So.... Dunkin' Donuts is out!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's not surprised at this, but even still, a coffee with cream and sugar is WAYYYYY worse than I thought. And I know this because I've created a profile on a branch site off of Lance Armstrongs' Livestrong.com site. It's called The Daily Plate. It's a bit time consuming and to be honest, I may drop it in a few months once I get the hang of it, but it's been a real eye-opener to see exactly how many calories I'm consuming... and burning... each day. It's helped me set a daily caloric intake in order to lose about 2 pounds a week, and that's assuming NO excercise, I hope that's even more aggressive for me. On another positive note, I've joined an LA Fitness across the street from my apartment and I was so thrilled this morning to go SWIMMING! I busted my ass trying to be cute and not use the walkway mats, but other than that it was embarassment-free.

I'm excited to jump start a new, and hopefully, final torrid chapter in my road to my true physical acceptance and health. I was (breathlessly, as I'd walked about a block while talking) explaining to a dear friend and my #1 supporter last night that I feel like my weightloss goals this time are ineveitable. I've lost the mis-behavin' ovary, I'm on a medicine that should help my body process foods correctly, I have good and realistic food goals and an excercise I look forward to daily. So, with friends and family behind me and only opportunity in front me, you just watch what Heather can do. Wedding and baby shower cakes be damned!

Oh Heather, I'm SO GLAD you are feeling better. If I had any money at all, I'd totally take an empty spot. You rock!!!
